Pete Yu is an experienced economic consultant based in San Diego, California. Mr. Yu has been engaged in matters involving intellectual property infringement, antitrust claims, labor economics, contract disputes, intangible asset valuations, and patent licensing strategy. He has experience in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, semiconductors, bond financing, streaming services, banking, consumer electronics, and video codecs.

- Analysis of economic damages due to alleged copyright infringement relating to subscription video on demand;

- Corporate licensing strategy and economic analysis relating to video compression intellectual property.

Mr. Yu authored the article “Adjusting patent royalty rates for inflation”, published in the IAM Media (Intellectual Asset Management) review .
Prior to Insight Economics, Mr. Yu worked in economic litigation consulting, investment banking, and research at the Wharton School. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Economics and has passed the CFA Level 1 and 2 exams.
