Irina A. Telyukova, Ph.D., is an economist, data science and analytics expert with over 25 years of experience in academia, policy and financial services industry. She applies her expertise in economic, analytical and quantitative methods to solving complex problems pertaining to intellectual property, credit decisioning and risk management, business strategy, housing markets, mortgage and credit card markets, and policy and regulation in these areas. Dr. Telyukova is a recognized authority on quantitative and empirical consumer finance, real estate and labor economics with an extensive publication record in peer-reviewed journals in these areas.
Dr. Telyukova provides expert services in litigation in a variety of industries, including life sciences, semiconductors and electronics. She has supplied expert analysis in numerous high-stakes cases involving financial, economic, and econometric analysis of lost profits and reasonable royalties. Dr. Telyukova also provides consulting services in predictive modeling, financial forecasting and optimization, and strategic analytics using advanced quantitative and data-science techniques.
Prior to Insight Economics, Dr. Telyukova was Chief Analytics Officer at Mulligan Funding, a nonbank commercial lender in San Diego, with responsibilities of creating and overseeing all descriptive, predictive and strategic analytics for the company. Before that, she was Vice President at Intensity Corporation, providing expert services in both commercial litigation and predictive analytics and forecasting. Prior to that role, she was Assistant Professor of Economics at University of California, San Diego, where she taught undergraduate and Ph.D.-level courses in macro- and financial economics and quantitative methods, and conducted academic and policy research on housing and credit markets. During that period, she held visiting positions at several Federal Reserve Banks, the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London, and the International Monetary Fund.
Dr. Telyukova holds her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where she received the Jacob Javits Graduate Student Fellowship. She graduated summa cum laude with undergraduate degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Connecticut College.
