Katie Grace, Ph.D. is an economic and financial consultant and expert witness in business valuation and anti-trust matters. She has extensive experience in entrepreneurship, regulated monopolies, econometrics, public finance, and financial economics. She served as a professor at Wofford College and Furman University, where she taught business, accounting, and finance courses related to corporate finance, financial statement analysis, investments, options, macro- and micro- economics.
Dr. Grace provides expert reports and testimony in a variety of areas, including:
- Financial analysis: acquisitions, public offerings, private placements of financial service companies and mid-sized commercial banks
- Valuation: discounted cash flow analysis (DCF), comparable company, precedent transaction analyses
- Anti-trust: market analysis, anti-competitive behavior
- Damages: breach of contract, collusion
- Class-action: class certification and damages estimates
Dr. Grace has authored several works regarding the financial implications of public policy concerning personal income taxes, Residential Community Associations (RCAs), and public utility companies. Her research findings have been published in the Journal of Entrepreneurship and Public Policy, International Advances in Economic Research, Palmetto Promise Institute, and other journals.
Dr. Grace earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Quantitative Economics from Clemson University and holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Wofford College.
